Saat ini ada lebih dari 35.000 postingan dengan tagar #carnivorediet yang mengajak orang-orang untuk makan daging. Tidak ada karbohidrat, tidak ada buah ataupun sayuran. Hanya daging.<\/p>\n<p>Salah satu pendukung diet yang paling vokal adalah Mikhaila Peterson yang berusia 26 tahun, YouTuber yang kontroversial dan penulis&nbsp;<em>12 Rules for Life Jordan Peterson.<\/em>&nbsp;Ia mengaku hanya mengonsumsi daging sapi, garam, air dan bourbon bisa \u201cmenyembuhkan\u201d radang sendi dan depresi, meskipun tidak ada bukti ilmiah tentang kebenarannya.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-317 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.wecare.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/bottom_poster-1024x679.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"679\"><\/p>\n<p>Hal yang sama juga diungkapkan para pelaku diet karnivora lainnya. Melalui instagram, mereka mengklaim bahwa dengan mengonsumsi daging saja dapat menurunkan berat badan, mengurangi peradangan, menurunkan tekanan darah dan meningkatkan libido. Namun klaim ini dibantah oleh para ahli medis. Menurut ahli medis, sama sekali tidak ada bukti ilmiah untuk mendukung klaim ini, sebaliknya bukti menunjukkan diet ini dapat menyebabkan kekurangan vitamin. Mereka menekankan bahwa jika hanya makan daging saja, justru menghilangkan banyak nutrisi yang diperlukan tubuh.<\/p>\n<p>Diet karnivora sebenarnya mirip dengan diet keto dan paleo, yang menghindari konsumsi karbohidrat, protein dan lemak. Juga termasuk ikan, produk susu dan telur. Meskipun ada manfaat kesehatan yang didapat dari daging, namun tidak semua nutrisi tubuh terpenuhi oleh daging.<\/p>\n<p>Banyak ahli gizi dan ahli diet yang prihatin soal diet ini karena menurut mereka tidak sehat.
