Gangguan kecemasan ini berbeda dengan kecemasan pada umumnya. Secara umum, orang akan merasa cemas ketika menghadapi wawancara kerja, mengalami suatu pengalaman baru, menghadapi ujian, dan lain sebagainya. Sedangkan <em>anxiety disorder<\/em> merupakan kecemasan tingkat tinggi meskipun tidak ada stresor yang nyata yang dihadapi. Kecemasan ini dapat mengganggu kegiatan sehari-hari dan termasuk ke dalam gangguan mental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Penyebab\">Penyebab <em>Anxiety Disorder<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Asal usul atau <strong>penyebab <\/strong><strong><em>anxiety disorder<\/em><\/strong> hingga kini belum dapat diketahui secara pasti, namun berikut beberapa faktor risiko yang meningkatkan kemungkinan seseorang terkena gangguan kecemasan ini:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aktivitas berlebihan pada otak. Otak merupakan organ yang berfungsi mengatur emosi dan aktivitas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gangguan keseimbangan hormon serotonin dan noradrenalin. Kedua hormon tersebut berperan dalam mengendalikan <em>mood<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Faktor genetik atau herediter.
